Bristol fish and game 3d shoot

Then at target 14 and up the targets were further out, now all the shoots were in the 20 to 30 yard range. It was then that it dawned on me what they were doing, they were making us work our close and one games. I like that they thought of that when making the course. My favorite shot of the day was one I made up on the fly. I got stuck behind a group and while setting up my gear for the shot, realized if I shot from a log, it would be a more enjoyable shot. It also turned out to be the best shot of the day.

Once done I went back down the hill and filmed my review. Three times, not because of any mistake on my part, but the wind was so strong that it drowned out the sound on my camera!

I finally gave up and filmed my review in my car. The reviews give an overview of the course, my goal is to give you enough information for you to decide if it is a place you would like to go to. I use the old five star rating method, with three stars being a good solid shot, four stars is an above average shoot and five being simply awesome.

I breakdown the reviews as such:. The course it self was a simple loop around a large hill. I used my hiking app to track the distance and I was surprised to learn that is it four miles long! The terrain on the course was very easy, the only hill was at the start, you had to walk up the hill to the first two targets, after that, it was all level.

This course was an in — out course. May 22 Sun - 3D Shoot 7am-1pm. Break up to help 3D course traffic move smoothly and to. Our season begins February 20th! Enter your starting point:. An excellent claysports facility with a large and active membership, though it is not a for-profit operation— it would be fairest to say that the club welcomes visitors but is not oriented toward the visitor.

There is no staff or signage to welcome a guest, for example. You park, and ask around. The trap and skeet programs are more member-oriented, and are year round. The newly expanded station Sporting program welcomes visitors and runs about nine months a year, generally on Saturday mornings with a switch to Sundays during the hunting season. The course is set largely in wooded terrain, with most shots less than 30 yards, but quite impressive— Bristol hosted several NSCA shoots in Traps are automatic, and stations are tweaked every few weeks to keep the course challenging and fresh.

There is no form of pro shop— you cannot buy ammo or accessories of any sort as a nonmember. The overall atmosphere on the Sporting course is socially relaxed yet with pretty strict adherence to gun safety protocols. Squads self-score and self-trap. The calibre of shooter is variable, but with a healthy number of serious shooters. I was the guest of Tony Celello.

This club is very active, well groomed, and a well kept range. Based on the parking lot size, you can tell this is a huge operation. It has 3 dedicated traps and one combo field all set up for night shooting.
