Ea nascar 08 patch
It's relatively easy to hold either a high or low line on the track, simply by maintaining steady modulation of the throttle and keeping the Sixaxis tilted.
The game will also support the Xbox wireless wheel Xbox only, naturally and the latest Logitech wheels for Xbox and PS3. When we played the game, the controller was set to require the driver to compensate for the typical angle added to tires during most Nextel Cup events to help the cars more easily turn left.
As a result, we had to keep the Sixaxis slightly titled to the right to compensate for that angle and keep the car moving in a straight line on the straights. Of course, you'll be able to turn that off in the game settings if you prefer so that all you'll need to keep your car straight is to simply point the car ahead and hit the gas.
The so-called VTV feature will offer you real-time updates on practically every aspect of your car's performance while racing, which includes everything from tire temperature and performance to oil pressure.
This feature has also been retooled a bit since our last look. For one thing, the banking meter that is used to help the driver understand the degree of angle of the turns has been turned off by default, which is good because we found it merely got in the way the last time we played the game. There's also a dynamic line indicator, which will show you the quickest line around the track, complete with color-coding to show you where to lift, brake, and hit the gas.
Finally, there's a draft meter of sorts that looks like a special effect from a psychedelic music video from the s. For fans who are looking to squeeze that last tenth of a second out of their car's lap time, the VTV feature should be a helpful informational tool. The lighting in the game will change as the race progresses.

Now I'm rethinking that. Maybe I'm too forgiving, granted I didn't buy Ignition, but I honestly think they were hampered by the Nascar Licensing contract. I've read multiple reports that that contract requires a yearly release during the season. I think that's why they waited till the 2nd to last race of the season to release it. I pretty much expected a dumbed down bare bones release for 21 but it was even worse than I expected.
And of course we stilll have no more news on Next Gen release they promised or when or if it's still expected. I would hope with almost 2 years of development the IndyCar title would be solid. I'd read enough bad press on the game that I avoided buying it at full retain upon launch. Certainly not It's not a finished game, IMO. How can you release a NASCAR racing game in which the cars are not equipped with rear view mirrors, especially with AI drivers that make such unconventional moves behind you!?
That alone makes the game unplayable to me, but when you add the marginally serviceable, yet unadjustable steering wheel support, you've got a racing game that doesn't even measure up to last gen status.
I really want to like this game, as there are times when I like the look and feel of it while driving, but when it's time to race, it's not even up to the standards of the NASCAR 06 on the original XBox in terms of AI and racing physics.
I'll give Motorsport Games credit for getting a couple of patches out there, including the last one that at least allows me to do some of menu navigation with my wheel. I'm hoping when it hits that not only will we see a rear view mirror, we'll see some tunable force feedback wheel support settings that work. Additionally, it needs to have graphics settings that will allow it to run in 4K 60 FPS.
I don't know why, but I am holding out hope that they can salvage something out of this game. After all, this is the development team that's responsible for rFactor 2; I know they've got it in 'em!
