Better and more balanced AI mods are especially useful, because I'll be honest - on skimish maps, the AI is terrible and cheats significantly especially nexusAI, the stock nullbot AI is stupid and hardly a challenge at all, whilst nexusAI will steam roll you with incessant unit rushes with ever increasing weapon pods and is difficult to counter early-game, especially if you don't know the research tree and don't have a counter plan.
